"We'd been quoted wildly different prices by three other studios. Focus Frame sat us down, explained every line item, and we ended up spending less for a better result."
— Roisin Gallagher, Marketing Director, Loughshore Distillery

Video Production Priced by What You Actually Need

We don't sell Bronze, Silver, or Gold. Every project is different, so we price each one from its real components. Below is the breakdown of how every quote is built — and what you can adjust to fit your budget.

The Anatomy of a Video Quote

Cost Factor What It Covers Typical Range How You Control It
Pre-Production Scripting, storyboarding, location scouting, scheduling, talent coordinationUsually 15–25% of total £300 – £2,400 Supply your own script or brief to reduce this. More complex narratives cost more here.
Crew & Equipment Camera operators, sound recordist, lighting tech, drone operator, gear hireScales with shoot complexity £500 – £3,800 / day A single-camera interview setup costs far less than a multi-camera cinematic shoot.
Shoot Duration Hours or days on location, travel time, setup and teardownHalf-day or full-day rates £400 – £2,200 / day Consolidate locations. Batch multiple videos in one shoot day for major savings.
Post-Production Editing, colour grading, sound mixing, motion graphics, subtitlesOften the largest single line £600 – £4,500 Fewer revision rounds and simpler graphics lower this. Animation-heavy work raises it.
Talent & Licensing On-screen presenters, voiceover artists, music licensing, stock footageOptional — many projects use your own team £0 – £1,600 Use internal staff on camera. We source royalty-free music at no extra charge for most projects.
Delivery & Distribution Format conversions, platform-specific exports, thumbnail design, upload supportIncluded in most quotes £0 – £350 Standard web delivery is included. Broadcast-spec mastering or multi-format packages add cost.

Principle One

We never pad a quote with line items you don't need. If your project doesn't require drone footage, a voiceover artist, or motion graphics, those items simply don't appear on your invoice. Every pound maps to a deliverable.

Principle Two

We share our day rates and post-production rates openly during the scoping call. You'll see the same rate card our team uses internally. No "client pricing" versus "real pricing."

Principle Three

Revisions are built into every quote — typically two rounds of edits. Additional rounds are charged at a flat hourly rate disclosed upfront, so there are no surprise invoices after delivery.

How a Project Moves From Call to Delivery

Every engagement begins with a free 20-minute scoping call. We listen, ask sharp questions, and within 48 hours you receive an itemised quote built from the cost factors above. No templated proposals — each one is written for your project specifically.

Once approved, we lock dates, assign crew, and share a production schedule. On shoot day, you'll have a dedicated producer on site managing logistics so you can focus on your business. Post-production begins within 24 hours of wrap, and you receive a first cut within the timeline agreed in your quote.

Final delivery includes all agreed formats, a raw footage archive on request, and a 30-day window for any minor tweaks at no additional charge.

Common Questions About Our Pricing

What does a typical project cost in total?

Most single-video projects for Northern Ireland businesses fall between £1,500 and £6,000. A straightforward interview-style video with basic editing sits at the lower end; a multi-location brand film with animation and licensed music sits higher. We'll always give you a fixed total before work begins.

Can I reduce cost by supplying my own footage or script?

Absolutely. If you have existing footage that meets quality standards, we can work with it in post-production. Supplying a polished script eliminates the scripting line item entirely. We'll assess what you have and adjust the quote accordingly.

Do you require a deposit?

We ask for 40% upfront to secure dates and begin pre-production. The remaining 60% is invoiced on delivery of the final files. For projects over £5,000, we can arrange a three-stage payment schedule.

What if my budget is fixed — can you work backwards?

Yes. Tell us your budget and your goals, and we'll design a scope that fits. We'd rather deliver a focused, excellent video within your means than oversell you a project that stretches your resources.
